The family of the mare SOBHA

The mare Sobha, imported from Ali Pasha Sherif to Crabbet Stud in England in 1891 was legendary in beauty. She produced Selma whose main daughter was Selima (by Astraled) and Selima was the dam of Shareer and Star of the Hills. Star of the Hills was imported by the Russians in the famous 1936 sale from Crabbet that also included Naseem and Rissalma. Star of the Hills was bred with Kann in Russia to produce Krona who was bred to the Polish import Taki Pan to produce Taktika. Taktika is the dam of full siblings by Priboj - *Pietuszok, Topol, Platina, and Ptashka. This international recipe distinguished the Russians as architects for breeding higher quality Arabian horses in each successive generation. The Russians then added Aswan for type to produce Pesnia (dam of Pesniar) and *Posslanitsa was then produced by breeding to Nabeg (by Arax) for structure. *Posslannitsa was a high-trotting mare that consistently passed on her action and My Psyche is a recipient of this motion. *Posslannitsa was bred to another Aswan son, *Marsianin, who was imported to the U.S. from Russia and became U.S. National Champion Stallion. Protocall added the initial needed infusion of Priboj blood and Etaro would compliment this extremely well in future breedings.

The family of the mare MILORDKA

This mare is very much in the image of her sire Pyatigorsk. Niobe's dam line traces to Koalicja, a strikingly handsome mare that to this day photographs of her head are reproduced as the most perfect example of refinement of a purebred Arab mare. Koalicja is also the dam of Polish great Miecznik who is the sire of Doktryner and Aquinor, sire of Elf, Eleuzis, Elkin and Elkana (in 1972 Elkin and Elkana won championships in the U.S. and Canada at the same time). Add to Niobe's heritage in the tail line Naseem, Priboj, Arax, and *Mag. *Mag was a Dutch and French National Champion and is a son of Aswan out of Magnolia (a Mammona daughter). *El Kasaka and *Mag both lead to Aswan and when combined with the structure and beauty of Pyatigorsk on top make for a mare that is stylish and structural. The refinement of MAIN SMOKE with his double Topol lineage would surely make a classical Arabian horse when bred to Niobe.
