This mare's tail dam line is of English Crabbet Stud descent and is identical to our stallion Etaro through Indian Flower. Indian Flower was the dam of Indian Diamond (by Oran) who was imported to the U.S. in 1957. Now, in WM Fantasy's case we add Bey Apache (Tornado x *Elba) to infuse the excellent blood of *Bask and *Pietuszok. On the top side of the pedigree, *Oratus is a son of Nut, previously mentioned as a son of Topol. *Oratus's dam line combines the best of Polish and Russian breeding. His dam was Nepokornaia (by Arax) and her dam was by Priboj and hers by Naseem. WM Fantasy truly originates from decades of planned breeding as the fourth generation sires are Topol, Arax, Tornado, and Raf-Faranas. Tornado was unanimous Canadian National Champion and described by the Tersk breeder Ponomarev as one of the best ever. Raf-faranas is a grandson of *Raffles, the popular inbreed Siglavi stallion.

This bay mare of 15Hh had produced very well line bred to Protocall, Etaro's sire, which provides for a big bold trot. Another great line up graces Oppalessence's pedigree on the dam's side tracing back to the Russian import from France Carabine, the mare that accompanied Kann in the 1920's to Russia as the foundation of Tersk breeding. Carabine is dam of Dikarka who is the dam of Podruga, a race winner and dam of Patron. Dikarka also is the dam of Piramida, a prolific mare from Tersk that crossed well with many horses. Trace her pedigree to see how the Russians used stallions of various genotype in successive generations to improve the breed. You will all of the greats: Piramida is by Piolun (sire of Priboj) and bred to Knippel to produce Poklonnaja, she was bred to Salon to produce Psisha, she was bred to Pesniar to produce Applicatia who was then bred to Nut. This mare has bred previously with Opuss in Canada and that breeding produced the young stallion Operator who is doing very well as a stallion himself. A subsequent breeding between Kute N Kool and Opuss would make for an ideal Straight Russian foal. Kute N Kool has an excellent pedigree, laced with Champions, she is double Priboj, double Salon, double Arax, and double Aswan. The tail female line traces close up to Carolina, the 1980 all USSR champion mare and dam of the Reserve Champion stallion Karavan by Naslednik. Carolina was bred to the million dollar horse Pesniar to produce Kupava, Kute N Kool's grand dam. Also on the dam side is Moment (*Muscat's full brother) retained by Tersk after *Muscat was exported to the U.S. What a great pedigree, just look to the fourth generation sires: Topol, Arax, Moment and Pesniar!
