Main Smoke is a young stallion that exemplifies athletic balance combined with a soft responsive mind. Main Smoke is by Ghazni, a Saljut son. Saljut was foaled at Tersk Stud in 1977. Main Smoke is out of the Pyatigorsk daughter, Jaina - a very correct and ultra-refined soft-minded mare. Main Smoke's pedigree contains some true legends of the breed to include the Polish imported U.S. National Champion *El Paso along with some world class racing Arabians. Main Smoke has two lines to Lak (Kankan x Laba) who was the 1963 winner of the Derby and a notable race sire and the mare Sapina (Arax x Solianka II) who holds the world speed record for three-year-old fillies set at the 2400 meter Derby in 1962. Two other Arax daughters grace Main Smoke's lineage, the mare Mechta out Metropolia (a Priboj daughter) and Nastavnitsa (Arax x Nerpa IV--a Priboj daughter). Nastavnitsa produced Naklon, a fine stallion used in Germany and the Netherlands. Main Smoke's tail female line traces to Crabbet and Polish horses of descent. This young stallion is geared to produce athletic horses with speed and stamina combined with grace and distinction.
