1984 Chestnut -- *El Kasaka x Harpona (*Gay Polka x *Harpia)

This dam line is characterized by a large number of valuable and outstanding racing fillies and several valuable stallions. Ma'amoiselle's dam line traces to the Amurath Sahib daughter Balalajka, foaled in 1941, was one of the most magnificent Arab mares in Poland, combining handsome looks with size and conformation while being eminently feminine in character. She gave her best offspring with Witraz to include the fillies Arfa and Bandola and the colt Bask. Bask was a U.S. National Champion and one of the most recognizable Arabian horses ever and Bandola is the dam of champion Bajram by *Pietuszok and Bandos by Negatiw. The bay Arfa, 1947, carried the stamp of her dam with a beautiful head and neck, a superlative croup and magnificent doe-like eyes. Arfa is the dam of Harfa, winner of the Oaks and imported to the U.S. in 1970. Arfa is also the dam of Aristawa, the U.S. and Canadian National Champion mare. Harfa was bred to *Pietuszok in Poland and produced *Harpia who was imported to Canada. *Harpia produced Harpona by *Gaypolka, also *Pietuszok son making Harpona intensely line bred *Pietuszok. *Gaypolka's dam was *Caliope, a full sister to Celebes--both by Witraz, again you see *Pietuszok on a Witraz daughter. These are the principles learned over generations of breeding by the most respected of experts. This mare is has already produced an outstanding foal by the Topol grandson Nuaje by Nut (Topol x Niagara) and will cross very well with MAIN SMOKE.

Nuaje is the son of the Dutch stallion Nut, used at Kossack stud in the Netherlands and a son of Topol. You will notice that Nuaje's dam is Jamelle, which is also MAIN SMOKE's great grand-dam. The blending of Topol and Pietuszok on both sides of the pedigree in this breeding will add refinement and exemplify the athleticism of these two great Priboj stallions. A colt from this breeding would be most useful.  Ma'amoiselle is depicted above.

The family of the mare WOLOSZKA 1810

Full sister of Stakes winner.

This 15-3 Hand mare shows much of her grandsire El Kasaka phenotypically. She is a full sister to a Stakes winning race horse. This mare's dam line traces from Bay Bravura to the *Pietuszok daughter *Elba to the Polish mares Ellora and Elza. Elza was unquestionably the most valuable mare of the famous El Zabibe and Elza was noted for her very showy action. Elza bred with Witraz to produce the strikingly handsome Ellora, who produced her last foal at the remarkable age of 26.  Ellora was the dam of some great colts, Elfur (by Czort) won the Derby  and was leased by Tersk Stud and Ellorus, who was a leading sire at Janow stud in Poland. One of the greatest nicks in Polish breeding was *Pietuszok on Witraz daughters--and that is what we have here with Ellora's daughter *Elba that was imported to the U.S. *Elba bred with the Silver Drift son Snow Drift to produce Bay Bravura. The Priboj sire line on this dam line has been a proven winning

The family of the mare WOLOSZKA 1810

This mare possesses a high balanced English pleasure trot inherited from her grandsire Mukomol, a Kumir son that was retained for use by Tersk Stud. She is an ideal candidate for MAIN SMOKE's refinement. Her dam line is the same Kaasha's depicted above with the addition of stars such as Ga'zi (by Abu Farwa) and his son Ross Zi. Add to this Celebes and his son *Rezus for a complete pedigree offering the fourth generation sires of Kumir, Pesniar, Patron, and *Rezus (Russian breeders read Kann, Arax, Aswan, and Witraz) as their forefathers. Add the doubled up refined Topol lineage on this one for the requisite Priboj influence.

This mare's tail dam line is of English Crabbet Stud descent and is identical to our stallion Etaro through Indian Flower. Indian Flower was the dam of Indian Diamond (by Oran) who was imported to the U.S. in 1957. Now, in WM Fantasy's case we add Bey Apache (Tornado x *Elba) to infuse the excellent blood of *Bask and *Pietuszok. On the top side of the pedigree, *Oratus is a son of Nut, previously mentioned as a son of Topol. *Oratus's dam line combines the best of Polish and Russian breeding. His dam was Nepokornaia (by Arax) and her dam was by Priboj and hers by Naseem. WM Fantasy truly originates from decades of planned breeding as the fourth generation sires are Topol, Arax, Tornado, and Raf-Faranas. Tornado was unanimous Canadian National Champion and described by the Tersk breeder Ponomarev as one of the best ever. Raf-faranas is a grandson of *Raffles, the popular inbreed Siglavi stallion.

This bay mare of 15Hh had produced very well line bred to Protocall, Etaro's sire, which provides for a big bold trot. Another great line up graces Oppalessence's pedigree on the dam's side tracing back to the Russian import from France Carabine, the mare that accompanied Kann in the 1920's to Russia as the foundation of Tersk breeding. Carabine is dam of Dikarka who is the dam of Podruga, a race winner and dam of Patron. Dikarka also is the dam of Piramida, a prolific mare from Tersk that crossed well with many horses. Trace her pedigree to see how the Russians used stallions of various genotype in successive generations to improve the breed. You will all of the greats: Piramida is by Piolun (sire of Priboj) and bred to Knippel to produce Poklonnaja, she was bred to Salon to produce Psisha, she was bred to Pesniar to produce Applicatia who was then bred to Nut. 1995 Grey  - Pistachio (*Salon x *Panntera) x Nihani (*El Kasaka x *Bint Nepokornaia) This is a western pleasure mare and an ideal candidate to breed to Main Smoke. This gray mare exhibit qualities found in the Naseem sire line.

Started under saddle, this mare shows great promise for sport horse & dressage based on her elastic way of going. This bay mare emanates the Arax in her pedigree.

Halter and country English potential. Also a great potential as breeding mare to Main Smoke. This gray mare also exhibits qualities found in the Naseem sire line.

This mare exhibits her line breeding to Arax and has great potential as a broodmare. And the chestnut mare is indicative of our former stallion *El Kasaka.

One of the few females available out of the leading dam line of Tersk through Mammona. Messenjer is a combination of Aswan and Naseem, a pairing often utilized by the great Tersk breeders providing Messenjer with exceptional breeding potential. Messenjer's dam Marena was imported by Armand Hammer at a cost of $100,000. Malwa was a successful mare at Tersk and is by Arax out of Metropolia by Priboj. Metropolia is out of Mammona by Ofir. Mammona marched 1000 miles as a filly from Poland to Russia during WWII. This filly of pure Russian heritage will, in my opinion, produce offspring of exquisite Seglawi type--a colt of this cross being a most interesting potential Seglawi breeding sire.
